Well most of you know that Marc is off to join the persuit of freedom for Iraq. We were overwhelmed by all the support from everyone around us. Not to mention lots of fun get togethers. A big thanks to everyone!
Here are some shots from the neighborhood block party. Gotta love Marc sportin his flamin apron!
My fabulous sister Michelle threw a just as fabulous luau. We had so much fun playing volleyball and eating delicious pineapple hamburgers. She has a lot more pictures on her blog if you have access. Thanks Shell!!
The night before Marc left we celebrated the summer holidays with a few sparklers. It wasn't much the kids enjoyed it.
This is right before we took off to the airport.
This is the only picture where the kids look like they care. But if you look closely, however, notice the direction Gabe is facing- I think he was more concerned about his happy meal. Oh well. It was better that way.
Marc's face in this one does a better job showing how the two of us were really feeling.
This one doesn't look like much but if you notice, Marc's jaw is clenched so tight. He was trying so hard not to cry in front of the kids. He failed though. But Isabel made us all laugh when she asked why he was crying and then said he was silly.
Just plain sweetness! While all the kids are going to be missed, I think Marc is most concerned about Weston not knowing who he is when he gets back. I don't think it will take long though. Marc's done a great job making a strong bond with this little dude.
