Weston!

I didn't plan anything for Weston's birthday this year.  I was going to wait for Marc to get home.  The day started out with me, two naked kids, and a package from dad.  Luckily Grandma Mary saved the day and took us all to the zoo.  She is so thoughtful and puts so much effort into spending time with her Grandkids.


 I promise the kids were a lot more excited than they look in these pictures!

 This was the morning.  I have admit the quiet time with just the three of us was nice.  Isabel and I got to give all our attention to this little guy.

 This came later, but after Marc got home we did do the whole cake thing.  I believe it was a winner with him

 Here's a bit about our little man.  He is the comedian in our family.  He loves to entertain.  He has the best smile and the best laugh.  He laughs easily and he laughs a lot.  He loves people and most everyone he smiles at is warmed by that feeling.  He doesn't have much to say but his facial expressions make up for it.  Here are just a few of the 'Weston faces'.  It doesn't include his infamous pirate face.  For some reason I can't ever capture it on camera but I will post it as soon as I do because it is hilarious.

Weston's favorite things to do are to make messes (particularly dumping out drawers) and being with his brother and sister.  He loves to eat anything that has sugar in it.  HMMM.  Much like his sister.  For someone that has been strict about eating healthy, I am so in for it!  Weston also loves to dance.  He starts rockin it even when my phone rings.  Such a funny little dude.  I think recently his favorite show has become toy story.  He laughs so hard during it. Weston is so much my little buddy.  It's becoming more apparent to me how each one of my relationships with my kids are different and how each one is so wonderful.   I was uncertain how it would be when Weston came along because I couldn't fathom loving him as much as I did Isabel.  Now I can't imagine our family without him.  I've learned that each one of our kids have brought a gift into our family.  Weston brought us all together.  At the same time he was born, Gabe started being at our house full time during the day.  The love that he and I both shared for Weston brought us closer.  Now I have 3 kids that I love and adore.  Thank you Weston.  The last fun filled fact about Weston is that he loves giving kisses.  It is so stinkin cute when he puckers his lips and comes at you.  As a mom, I NEVER tire of kisses from my kids.  Happy first year little guy!
