After we felt like the kids had a good amount of time with dad, we took off for our own little rendezvous together. Nothing beats a little Egyptian room at the Anniversary Inn with some beautiful hiking the next day.

Time Together
Marc had two and a half weeks off after Iraq before he started his new Job. It was heaven. We took the kids and hiked up to Timpanogas Caves. We were so impressed with Gabe and Isabel who did a good 3/4's of it on their own.
Gabe and Isabel are the best of friends. It is so endearing to watch.
After we felt like the kids had a good amount of time with dad, we took off for our own little rendezvous together. Nothing beats a little Egyptian room at the Anniversary Inn with some beautiful hiking the next day.
I told Marc about the attempted hikes I made over the summer with the kids and decided it would be a great end to the warmer weather if we finished it together. It was so worth it. It was beautiful and refreshing. If anyone is looking for a good hike try the Lake Blanche trail up big cottonwood.

Man! Marc looks so skinny in some of those pictures! I guess going to Iraq does that to you!
That is so neat that you guys got 2 whole weeks together! And that you got to finally finish that hike.
